NBA TV’s Preseason Coverage to Tip Off with Brooklyn Nets at the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday, Oct. 3, at 3:30 p.m. ET

Preseason Schedule to Include 15 Live Game Telecasts with Appearances by  

Bucks, Lakers, Nets, Suns, Warriors, 76ers & Clippers  

  

Early Opportunities to See New-Look Teams with Stars in New Places Including  

Russell Westbrook, Kyle Lowry, Spencer Dinwiddie & P.J. Tucker  

NBA TV will televise 15 live preseason games, giving fans an early opportunity to see many of the NBA’s new-look teams and top stars back in action, including appearances by the defending NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets, Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers and LA Clippers.  

 

NBA TV’s preseason schedule will tip off featuring the Lakers with LeBron James, Anthony Davis and the anticipated preseason team debut of Russell Westbrook hosting the Nets with Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving on Sunday Oct. 3, at 3:30 p.m. ET.   

  

Additional game highlights include:  

  

  • Monday, Oct. 4 – The Miami Heat – with the anticipated team debuts of Kyle Lowry and P.J. Tucker – will host the Atlanta Hawks and Trae Young at 7:30 p.m. Later, the Warriors and Stephen Curry will visit the Portland Trail Blazers and Damian Lillard at 10 p.m. 

 

  • Wednesday, Oct. 6 – The Suns – including Chris Paul and Devin Booker – will host the Lakers and James at 10 p.m. Earlier in the night, the Cleveland Cavaliers and first-round pick Evan Mobley will visit the Hawks and Young at 7:30 p.m.  

  

  • Friday, Oct. 8 – In a preview of the four teams that will tip off the season on TNT, the Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo will visit the Nets and Durant at 7:30 p.m., followed by the Warriors and Curry hosting the Lakers and Westbrook at 10 p.m.  

 

  • Monday, Oct. 11 – The Clippers and Paul George will host the Minnesota Timberwolves and Karl-Anthony Towns at 10:30 p.m.  

  

  • Tuesday, Oct. 12 – The Washington Wizards and Spencer Dinwiddie will host the Toronto Raptors and first-round pick Scottie Barnes at 7 p.m.  

 

  • Tuesday, Oct. 15 – The Warriors and rookies Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody will host the Trail Blazers and Lillard at 10 p.m.  

 

The network will preview all 30 NBA teams throughout the preseason, starting Friday, Oct. 1, at 8 p.m., with back-to-back-to-back premiere episodes showcasing the Bucks, Nets and Lakers. NBA TV is also the nightly home of NBA GameTime studio coverage.  

 

USA Basketball Special to Premiere Sunday  

NBA TV will premiere A Team for the Ages: The Story of the USA Basketball Women’s National Team presented by Nike, Sunday, Oct. 3, at noon. The hour-long special follows coach Dawn Staley, stars Sue Bird, Diana Taurasi and A’ja Wilson – among others – as they pursue a record seventh consecutive Olympic gold medal.   

 

NBA TV will televise 107 live games during the 2021-22 regular season — the NBA's 75th Anniversary season — with the league’s biggest stars and top teams in action. The network will tip off its regular season coverage with a Kia NBA Tip-Off 2021 doubleheader on Saturday, Oct. 23. The Heat will visit the Indiana Pacers at 7 p.m., followed by the Trail Blazers hosting the Suns at 10 p.m.
