NBA on TNT’s Marquee 2021-22 Regular Season Schedule to Feature 65 Games, Highlighted by Blockbuster Opening Night, MLK Day Doubleheader & Double-Digit Appearances by the Defending NBA Champion Bucks, Nets, Lakers and Warriors

Opening Night to Showcase Defending NBA Champion Milwaukee Bucks Hosting Brooklyn Nets and Star-Studded Western Conference Rivals – Golden State Warriors at Los Angeles Lakers – Tuesday, Oct. 19, Beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET

TNT’s MLK Day Doubleheader to Feature 2021 Eastern Conference Finals Rematch – Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo at Atlanta Hawks and Trae Young – at 6 p.m., Along with New-Look Chicago Bulls with DeMar DeRozan and Lonzo Ball at Memphis Grizzlies and Ja Morant at 3:30 p.m.

Network’s Coverage to Showcase Early Season Tuesday Night Games and Final Day of the Regular Season Doubleheader, Sunday, April 10

Turner Sports, entering its 38th consecutive year of NBA coverage, will feature a 65-game schedule during the 2021-22 NBA regular season, including a marquee Opening Night doubleheader, a Martin Luther King, Jr. Day doubleheader, regular doubleheader game coverage on Tuesdays and Thursdays (starting in January), and a prime time doubleheader to close out the regular season schedule, Sunday, April 10. The network will highlight the league’s biggest stars and most star-studded teams throughout the season, led by 13 appearances by the Los Angeles Lakers; 12 by the Golden State Warriors; 11 by the Brooklyn Nets; and 10 by the defending NBA Champion Milwaukee Bucks. Overall, TNT will televise doubleheaders on 18 Tuesdays, 12 Thursdays, MLK Day (Monday) and the regular season’s final day.

TNT will officially tip off the 2021-22 regular season with exclusive, blockbuster Opening Week doubleheaders to usher in the league’s 75th anniversary season on Tuesday, Oct. 19 – Brooklyn Nets at Milwaukee Bucks and Golden State Warriors at Los Angeles Lakers – and Thursday, Oct. 21 – Dallas Mavericks at Atlanta Hawks and LA Clippers at Warriors – featuring Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Luka Dončić, Anthony Davis, James Harden, Trae Young, Kyrie Irving, Paul George and the Laker debut of Russell Westbrook.

The second week of the season will feature the New York Knicks and offseason acquisition Kemba Walker hosting the Philadelphia 76ers and Joel Embiid on Tuesday, Oct. 26, at 7:30 p.m., followed by the Denver Nuggets and reigning Kia NBA MVP Nikola Jokić facing the Utah Jazz and Donovan Mitchell at 10 p.m.

NBA on TNT’s marquee Martin Luther King, Jr. Day doubleheader on Monday, Jan. 17, will be highlighted by a rematch of the 2021 Eastern Conference Finals – Bucks at Atlanta Hawks – at 6 p.m.  MLK Day game coverage will tip off with the Chicago Bulls and offseason additions DeMar DeRozan and Lonzo Ball visiting the Memphis Grizzlies and Ja Morant at 3:30 p.m.

As part of the league’s NBA 75 Classic Matchups highlighting the teams, players, coaches and moments that have defined the league, the Warriors and Curry will visit the Knicks and Walker, Tuesday, Dec. 14, at 7:30 p.m. in a meeting of two franchises that have played in every NBA season.  The NBA and Turner Sports will be celebrating NBA 75 throughout the 2021-22 season.

  • The defending Western Conference Champion Phoenix Suns with Chris Paul and Devin Booker will host the New Orleans Pelicans with Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram, Tuesday, Nov. 2, at 10 p.m. The night’s first game will see the Miami Heat with Jimmy Butler and new addition Kyle Lowry against the Mavericks and Dončić at 7:30 p.m.
  • Eastern Conference heavyweights will meet when the Bucks and Antetokounmpo visit the 76ers and Embiid, Tuesday, Nov. 9, at 7:30 p.m. The Portland Trail Blazers and Damian Lillard will then visit the Clippers and George at 10 p.m.
  • Some of the biggest stars in the league will be in action when the Nets with Durant, Irving and Harden host the Warriors with Curry and Draymond Green, Tuesday, Nov. 16, at 7:30 p.m. 76ers/Jazz will follow at 10 p.m.
  • The Knicks with Walker and 2021 Most Improved Player Julius Randle will be showcased three times in a four-week period: hosting the Lakers and James, Tuesday, Nov. 23, at 7:30 p.m.; against the cross-town rival Nets and Durant, Tuesday, Nov. 30, at 7:30 p.m.; and welcoming the Warriors and Curry to Madison Square Garden, Tuesday, Dec. 14, at 7:30 p.m.
  • A pair of inter-conference contests on Tuesday, Dec. 7, starting with the Mavericks and Dončić hosting the Nets and Durant at 7:30 p.m. and followed by the classic Boston Celtics at Lakers rivalry at 10 p.m.
  • Three Kia NBA MVPs in action – Antetokounmpo, Curry and Nikola Jokić – on Thursday, Jan. 13, with Warriors at Bucks at 7:30 p.m. and Trail Blazers at Nuggets at 10 p.m.
  • A blockbuster doubleheader on Tuesday, Jan. 25, featuring the Lakers and Westbrook at the Nets with Durant and Harden at 7:30 p.m. and Mavericks at Warriors at 10 p.m.
  • Kyle Lowry’s return to Toronto when the Heat visit the Raptors, Thursday, Feb. 3, at 7:30 p.m., ahead of Lakers/Clippers at 10 p.m.
  • An NBA Finals rematch – Bucks at SunsThursday, Feb. 10, at 10 p.m., following Heat at Pelicans at 7:30 p.m.
  • Ascending young stars will meet when the Pelicans and Williamson visit the Grizzlies and Morant, Tuesday, Mar. 8, at 7:30 p.m., ahead of Clippers/Warriors at 10 p.m.
  • The Hawks and Young will visit MSG to take on the Knicks and Walker in a 2021 Playoff rematch, Tuesday, Mar. 22, at 7:30 p.m., with Clippers/Nuggets to follow at 10 p.m.

TNT will also televise the most NBA Playoff games of any network, culminating with the network’s exclusive presentation of the 2022 NBA Western Conference Finals.
