TNT’s Opening Week Coverage to Include Two-Time Kia NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo
& Milwaukee Bucks Visiting Jayson Tatum & Boston Celtics, Wednesday, Dec. 23, at 7:30 p.m.
Turner Sports will tip off its 37th consecutive year of NBA coverage with a star-studded, exclusive Opening Night doubleheader on Tuesday, Dec. 22 – the Golden State Warriors with Stephen Curry and Draymond Green visiting their former teammate Kevin Durant, alongside Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets at 7 p.m. ET, followed by the defending NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James vs. the LA Clippers with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George at 10 p.m.
In the night’s first game, Durant and Irving will play in their first game together since joining Brooklyn ahead of the 2019-20 season. Durant will be hosting his former team, with whom he won two NBA Championships and two NBA Finals MVP awards. The night’s second game will feature the battle of L.A., matching up last season’s top two seeds in the Western Conference.
TNT’s Opening Week coverage will continue with the Milwaukee Bucks, featuring two-time Kia NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo visiting the Boston Celtics with Jayson Tatum on Wednesday, Dec. 23, at 7:30 p.m.
The network’s 2020-21 game schedule will feature regular Tuesday and/or Thursday live game coverage throughout the season, in addition to a Martin Luther King, Jr. Day tripleheader and the most NBA Playoff games of any network, culminating with the exclusive presentation of the 2021 NBA Eastern Conference Finals. The first half of this season’s coverage – along with NBA TV’s live game schedule – will be announced this Friday.
