HBO Max Pa’lante! is launching the Pa’lante! Promise to support Latino creatives through a creative partnership with OneFifty—WarnerMedia’s artistic studio focused on curating, developing and investing in bold, innovative, fresh and compelling storytelling. The Pa’lante! Promise is committed to elevating and supporting the OneFifty selected series, films, shorts, and podcasts that are authentic, have strong cultural aesthetic, speak to Latino’s ambicultural identity, and feature Latinos in front of and behind the scenes.

The Son Who Can’t Play Trumpet - Short

Four very diverse Hispanic women living in Los Angeles enjoy the city to its fullest while trying to juggle their Latin heritage and pursuing their American dream.
Harvest – Feature
In a futuristic world where white people, animals and water have nearly disappeared--a Native Latina and an AfroLatina must decide if they should save their child with an illegal heart transplant harvested from the bodies of migrants.
Additionally HBO Max and WarnerMedia OneFifty proudly announced today the acquisition of a slate of Latin content, helmed by Latino filmmakers. These projects will premiere on HBO Max within the next year. The films cover a wide range of genres, including short content, unscripted, documentary films, and feature narratives.
Below is a list of WarnerMedia OneFifty’s acquired projects that will debut in the coming year.
ACUITZERAMO – Short

A poignant series about the everyday lives of a group of Nicaraguan students exiled in Costa Rica.
SON OF MONARCHS – Feature
A New York City biologist returns to his hometown in Mexico and undergoes a personal transformation in the butterfly forests of Michoacán.
THE 90-DAY PLAN – Short
Comedy, YA, Family
Two young teenagers plan to rob a Bank of America by using Hollywood heist films as their guide.
